Resurrection Cemetery is located just north of Columbus and Worthington on US Route 23, 1/4-mile south of Polaris Parkway/US Route 750, across from Highbanks Metro Park. The Cemetery offers a prayerful atmosphere that evokes peace and quietness of the heart. It sits on just over 115 acres of land.

Throughout the cemetery, there is a pronounced rosary theme. For example, statues in the main section depict three of the Joyful Mysteries - Annunciation, Visitation, and the Nativity. There are also mausoleum buildings that depict the Glorious Mysteries - the Resurrection, Ascension, Descent of the Holy Spirit, Assumption, and Coronation - as well as the inspirational Immaculate Conception.

There is a burial section in the cemetery that is a shrine for the Stations of the Cross. It is in an oval layout with eight-foot granite structures with stained glass panels depicting all 14 stations.

The formal dedication of Resurrection Cemetery took place June 11, 1972, and was given by the late Bishop Clarence E. Elwell.

Wave of Light

Back In His Arms Again will once again be holding the annual Wave of Light ceremony at Resurrection Cemetery, in the Garden of the Holy Innocents. Join us as we gather for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. We will have an uplifting program honoring the lives of our babies who have gone before us, and a candlelight ceremony at 7pm as part of the International Wave of Light. This event is free to attend, and votive candles will be provided. Custom votive candles will also be sold by Back In His Arms Again. These candles can be personalized with names. Begin the day at 9 AM with Mass, Morning Prayer, and devotions for the dead in our chapel as we remember and pray for our deceased loved ones and the Holy Souls in Purgatory. After this, we invite you to explore our beautiful and sacred grounds. Staff will be available to help with: ·        Locating grave sites ·        Pre-ordering Christmas wreaths and poinsettias for gravesites ·        Understanding grave clean-up ·        Answering your pre-planning and burial service questions We also invite you to bring broken rosaries, worn Bibles, and other damaged or old religious articles for proper burial according to Catholic tradition.
