We request that you respect these guidelines so we can keep the Catholic Cemeteries a proper and sacred place for the burial of our departed brothers and sisters.
WHAT WE ALLOW
Fresh-cut and artificial flowers in a cemetery-approved vase (artificial flowers only November 1 – March 1)
Potted plants (on Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, and All Soul’s Day. These will be removed after a full week.)
American Flags no taller than 3 feet in the ground or with a VA stand, or miniature flags in an approved vase on a crypt or niche front
Christmas wreaths during the months of December and January
Funeral flowers at the burial location for 48 hours following interment
WHAT WE DO NOT
ALLOW
Trees, flowers, or shrubs not approved by the cemetery
Balloons, pinwheels, wind chimes, lights, candles, statues, stuffed animals, or other similar items
Plastic, metal, wood, glass, or breakable items/containers
Any type of Shepherd’s hook
Landscaping around flat or 8” bevel memorial
Rocks, stone chips, gravel, border edging, fencing, or planted ground-cover
Homemade memorials or temporary markers
Wreaths outside of the months of December and January
Non-wreath holiday decorations
Stickers, command hooks, or other adhesive items
Garden of the Holy Innocents
Decorations placed in the Garden of Holy Innocents must be placed on the ground in front of the statue, and must adhere to standard decoration guidelines.
All decorations will be removed during our weekly clean-ups.
Weekly Clean Up
A clean-up of grave decorations will be conducted on a weekly basis in accordance with the guidelines outlined here.
Due to the nature of cemetery operations, cemetery staff are not responsible for collecting or storing personal items, and are not responsible for damage to or loss of a decoration, regardless of cause.
